Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) is going to organize 7.5 days training under USAID/HKI funded SUAAHARA II project from 23rd September and onward. It is requested to registered Hotels and Resorts from Kathmandu valley and nearby to provide sealed quotation for packages service for training accommodation.


Package service:

  • Enough rooms for 55 participants
  • Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Two times tea/coffee break with cookies
  • Two spacious conference hall (35 participants in each Hall) with all facilities that we have in hotel, like soft board, sound system, mikes and WI-FI, backup power.


Sealed quotation should be submitted by 15th September 2016 at ENPHO head office, New Baneshwor, Kathmandu.

Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) calls for application from interested candidates for the following awards:

1. Bigyan Memorial Research Award
2. Raju Memorial Youth Award

 Bigyan Memorial Research Award

On 23 September 2006, a helicopter crash at Ghunsa claimed the lives of 24 dedicated people working in conservation and environment. Among the 24 was late Mr. Bigyan Acharya, an environmentalist and a member of Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO). In honor of late Mr. Acharya, ENPHO has established a “Bigyan Memorial Research Award” to enable individuals to conduct research in the field of environment and science, and consequently help build the younger generation working in environmental sector.

This Memorial Award is granted each year. In this regard, a research proposal is requested from interested students/researchers for conducting research work in the following fields of study:

  • Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
  • Wastewater Management and Faecal Sludge Management
  • Climate Change
  • Ground water resource and River Pollution
  • Other Environment related issues

Required Documents:

  • Proposal maximum 10 pages
  • Updated CV
  • An Official “Letter of Recommendation” from applicants’ supervisor or mentor
  • An Official “Letter of Approval” from department/college head.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • All students who have passed Master 1st year and are currently undergoing Masters’ Second year program and are supposed to start their thesis.
  • Age less than 30 years.


Amount of Memorial Award: NRs. 25,000/-

  • Deadline for submission of proposal: 5 September 2016
  • Duration of Research Grant: 6 months


Raju Memorial Youth Award

On 21 April 2011, Environment and Public Health Organization lost, Mr. Raju Shrestha a dedicated member, colleague and a youth committed to enable access of safe drinking water and sanitation amongst the people in rural areas of Nepal. In recognition of this untimely and tragic loss, ENPHO has established “Raju Memorial Youth Award” to annually reward an individual or organization working remarkably in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector in Nepal. In this regard, individuals or organizations working in the WASH sector in various areas of Nepal are requested to submit an application, along with detailed documents reflecting appropriate WASH experiences.

Required Documents:

  • Application highlighting past experiences and remarkable contributions on WASH sector (Max. 10 pages)
  • Organizational Profile (If approaching through organization)
  • Valid recommendation letter from two professional referee (If applying individually)


Amount of Memorial Award: NRs. 10,000

Deadline for submission of application: 5 September 2016
