Demonstration of Production of Compost, Vermi Compost and Biogas From Waste

ENPHO has established a research and demonstration centre on composting and vermi composting of vegetable marketing waste at the Central Horticulture Centre in Kirtipur. It is also conducting research and demonstration on production of biogas from organic waste. For this purpose an ARTI model biogas plant has been set up at the household level and another plant has been set up to process waste at the community level in Rato Pul area of Kathmandu. The biogas generated from the community plant is supplied to the nearby police post. The performance of these plants is being monitored.
