As part of the “Pilot Implementation of FSM Standard in Nepal” project, ENPHO conducted a door-to-door campaign with the financial support of Bill and Mellinda Gates Foundation and in coordination with Godawari Municipality from 2nd November, 2022. The campaign is being implemented in all 14 wards of Godawari Municipality to raise awareness and understanding on the importance of using standard septic tank.
The campaign was started from Godamchaur, Ward no. 1 of Godawari Municipality on 2nd November, 2022. Till date, the campaign conducted on Ward no. 1, Godamchaur, Ward no. 2, Bisankhunarayan, Ward no. 3, Godawari and Ward no. 4, Badikhel. Altogether, 256 households were visited and were shared with information on standard septic tank till date. The IEC emphasizing importance of septic tank were delivered to help the community people that comprehend about importance of standard septic tank.
“I was unaware of the criteria of standard septic tank. I have a containment without water seal which has no standard compartment and soak pit. I am very grateful towards this initiative which has helped us understand about the importance of standard septic tank,” remarked by one of the community people of Ward no. 1, Godawari Municipality.
