The project aims to contribute to an improvement in people’s living condition and reduces the health and environmental risks associated with inadequate water supply and sanitation.
Phase 1: To support the communities and government and to enhance their capacity for ensuring safe water for all inhabitants, following the global definition of safely managed water. Phase 2: To support local governments and communities in building climateresilient WASH, promoting greenery, and planning for business continuity and emergencies in partnering with the private sector for enhancing business and community resilience.
To study the water quality from sources, taps, and households. To study the quality of water used for different household purposes for drinking and washing hands and vegetables
To determine the status of KAF distributed by evaluating performance in Nawalparasi.

To assess the processes and structures set up on the Su-Swastha project area for marketing of Household Water Treatment Option and Safe Storage (HWTS) products.
To improve the health of school students by providing arsenic and pathogens-free safe drinking water through installation of large Kanchan Arsenic Filter (KAF).
Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Project is a demand led community based project being implemented by Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Fund Development Board (RWSSFDB) and is funded by Government of Nepal.
MICS provides data that are essential for developing evidence-based policies as well as monitoring progress towards national goals and global commitments aimed at promoting the welfare of children, including the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Since 1995, UNICEF has supported the implementation of MICS, assisting countries in generating high quality data on the situation of children.
