An online training program on Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM) and Integrated Wastewater and Septage Management (IWSM) was launched today through a collaborative effort between the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), India, and Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Nepal.

The kickoff session brought together 30 participants — 16 male and 14 female — from India and Nepal, representing government bodies, development agencies, academia, private organizations, and individual consultants. The training aims to strengthen regional capacity in urban sanitation and promote sustainable wastewater and faecal sludge management practices through knowledge sharing and expert engagement.
