Annual Project Review and Planning Meet – IUWM Project

Under the Integrated water management in urban areas as a core task of municipal services (IUWM) project, ENPHO with the support of the BORDA South Asia participated in the 3 days Annual Project Review and Planning Meet (PRPM). A three-days residential program was organized at GK Hill View Resort, Chintamani, Karnataka, India on 14-16th September 2022. The review meeting aimed to discuss, update on project progress, experience sharing on key interventions and planning of the IUWM project.

                           

The three-days review and planning meeting was divided into two-days intensive sharing and consultation followed by one-day field visit. The event primarily focused on sharing updates on project progress from each partner’s organization followed by collective visualization of project’s halfway achievements, revisiting the log-frame, prioritization of project targets till 2023, experience sharing on key interventions from partner organizations and the refresher session on admin and accounts with troubleshooting.

The one-day field visit was commenced at the various sites of key interventions, namely Sanitation worker’s colony, Kandwara; Public toilet, Ambedkar Nagar, Chikkaballapur; SWM Processing Site and Legacy Waste Site, Chikkaballapur; FSTP Devanahalli; and Sanitation Workers Resting Facility, Chintamani implemented by TIDE around Chikkaballapura and Chintamani of Karnataka, India.


During the event, Mr. Keshab Shrestha, Program Manager, ENPHO presented about project areas and its linkage with water source protection works undergone by the project, particularly on the stone spouts renovation and its cultural and historical importance. Ms. Bhintuna Shrestha, Project Coordinator, ENPHO and Mr. Santosh Dahal, Senior Engineer, ENPHO took turns to present the 1.5 years of project updates at the floor. Apart from it, a visual presentation on the journey was also showcased at the pin board along with the other remaining partner organizations at the event.


A total of 27 participants attended the annual review meeting representing BORDA South Asia’s Partners namely, Technology informatics Design Endeavor (TIDE), India; Waste Concern, Bangladesh; Ladakh Ecological Development Group (LEDeG), India and Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Nepal along with BORDA LO representatives.
