Community people are the first level of responder in any kind of disaster occurs. It is therefore Light Search and Rescue (LSAR) training was planned and provided to Community volunteers by ENPHO with the support from OXFAM. The technical assistance was sought from Peace Nepal, who had provided 5 trainings and 98 participants are benefited so far.
The core objective of the 3 days training was to train community people and School teachers about the techniques and methods of searching, healing, stabilizing and extracting the trapped victim during earthquake disaster to avoid further casualties. The communities are not only capacitate through training but are also equipped with Search and Rescue tool kits which are safely stock pilled at their respective ward office.
