On the occasion of World Toilet Day 2021, ENPHO in collaboration with ward 12 – Bheriganga Municipality and Sharada Secondary School inaugurated “Users’ Friendly Public Toilet” at Chinchhu Market, Bheriganga Municipality of Surkhet district on 19 November 2021. The public toilet was inaugurated by the Mayor of Bheriganga Municipality, Mr. Bhupendra Bahadur Chand in the presence of the Deputy Mayor Ms. Renu Acharya, Ward Chairpersons, Municipal Board Members, Political leaders, representatives of different organizations, and community members.

Under WASH SDG Programme, the public toilet was constructed by ENPHO with financial assistance from Bheriganga Municipality. The land for the public toilet was provided by Sharada Secondary School and the school itself will be also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the toilet facility. The toilet features two male toilets, two female toilets, two urinals including a handwashing station in each compartment. A room above the public toilet will be rented and collected money will be used to operate and maintain the toilet.

Locals including passengers near the bus station of Chinchhu market will be benefitted from the public toilet.
