ENPHO has been conducting Mum’s Magic Hand (MMH) session in community of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur from mid of November, 2020. MMH is a tool for driving handwashing with soap among mothers through organizing different sessions in the field. The session included narration of MMH storyboard, voting exercise, demonstration of effective techniques of handwashing with soap and water using color powder and other training sessions.
With concept of mothers to be continued to nurture their children and ensure to progress in life and succeed in bringing to fruition to their efforts and fulfillment to their lives even in the pandemics, MMH session has been conducted to change the behavior among mothers and their families in regard to proper handwashing with soap and water.
First session of MMH was carried out from 18 to 25 November, 2020 in all wards of Mahalaxmi Municipality. Altogether, 1000 HHs were benefitted from that session.
After completing first session, second session has been roll out from 8 December, 2020.
The sessions has been conducted under “Hygiene and Behaviour Change Coalition (HBCC)” project, implemented by ENPHO with the support of Oxfam at Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur. This project focuses on improved prevention and reduction of COVID – 19 infection risk focusing on the most vulnerable regions and populations.
