Orientation on ‘City-wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS)’ for the newly elected officials of Mahalaxmi Municipality

On 11 July 2022, ENPHO, with the support of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), organized an orientation program on ‘City-wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS)’ for the newly elected officials of Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur.

Altogether, 47 representatives from the Municipality keenly attended the program and expressed commitments to proper fecal sludge management and sanitation improvements in the Municipality. Among the attendees were the Mayor, Chief Administrative Officer, Ward Chairpersons and Ward Members from the Municipality. During the program, Mayor of Mahalaxmi Municipality Mr. Hari Gobinda Shrestha urged all Ward Chairpersons and Members to prioritize sanitation in their respective wards and be the part of the ongoing sanitation initiatives in the Municipality.”

ENPHO, with the support of BMGF and in coordination with various stakeholders, is implementing activities adopting the CWIS approach for sanitation improvements in Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur.
