On 12 July 2022, ENPHO, with the support of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), organized an orientation program on ‘City-wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS)’ for the newly elected officials of Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur.
Altogether, 20 representatives including Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward Chairpersons, and Ward Members from the Municipality keenly attended the program and expressed commitments for sanitation improvements in the Municipality.
“While planning any of the development projects, we need to be accountable for the construction of all infrastructure. We are committed to building a public toilet in our ward; we would like to request for your support to build a safe containment,” Mr. Bishnu Man Maharjan, Ward Chairperson -6, Godawari Municipality.
“For the development of infrastructure in terms of sanitation improvements, it is important to incorporate equity (inclusive of gender and disable) and sustainable resources and management.,” Mr. Niroj Bajracharya, Ward Chairperson – 14, Godawari Municipality”
ENPHO, with the support of BMGF and in coordination with various stakeholders, is implementing activities adopting the CWIS approach for sanitation improvements in Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur.
