In 2017, phase I of the “MuNASS program” was implemented to support the roll-out of the Institutional and Regulatory Framework (IRF) for Faecal Sludge Management in Nepal. After implementation of the Phase I of the MuNASS program, a need to scale up the program was recognized. In this perspective, the Phase II of the MuNASS program was planned and is being implemented to support meeting SDG 6.2 targets.

To attain the goals of MuNASS II program, research for the creation of Shit Flow Diagram (SFD) was conducted. A comprehensive SFD report for the Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City(SMC) has been published which is the first of its kind in Nepal.

This report can aid Dhangadhi SMC in further carrying out necessary interventions for proper Faecal Sludge Management.
