Training package development is one of the prominent services, provided by ENPHO Training Centre. With a highly skilled and experienced team on package development, training packages for effective delivery of training are developed. With the same knowledge and experiences, ENPHO Training Centre is also providing the service of package development to other organizations. As the process of package development itself can be replicated in any sector as nutrition, agriculture, education, health, livelihood, shelter, business, management, and others, ENPHO Training Centre provides the same services to other organizations as well.
Training packages or modules are a set of instructions designed and developed for a trainer or facilitator for the easy and effective delivery of messages. Complete training packages or modules consist of a systematic arrangement of message delivery methods and activities to maintain flow and consistency based on target audiences. It guides the trainers to conduct training sessions in an effective and participatory way. The trainer manual, participant manual, and required training or Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials are the three major parts of the training package or module. Required IEC materials for training are further developed in coordination with the Resource Centre unit of ENPHO.
Regarding the development of various training packages or modules, specifically on WASH and WASH-related topics, they are developed based on the need in the sector and demand from the implementing organizations. In addition, training packages with integrated WASH- with other cross-cutting issues and relevant sectors are also developed on the basis of the need for integration. SDG and WASH, Gender and WASH, WASH and Nutrition, and WASH in School are a few examples of WASH-integrated training packages that ENPHO has developed so far. Hands-on training like Operation and Maintenance training of water supply schemes (O&M training) and water Safety Plan- Process facilitation training are few of other packages that ENPHO has developed.
To the training packages related to WASH, ENPHO Training Centre has also developed various professional skill development training packages such as Delivering Effective WASH Training, Leadership for Water Supply User Committee, Community Health Promotion (CHP), Community WASH facilitation, Training for Community Nutrition Facilitators (CNF).
As of July 2021, ENPHO Training Centre has developed more than 50 training and orientation packages in different topics related to WASH, and 20 plus interactive online sessions related to COVID-19 and WASH.
